World of Water is the first hidden stage of World 2, accessed from Fishing Spree's secret exit. A rather simplistic water stage with Layer 3 tides. The level has a hidden Spade Game.
Level overview[]
Begin the stage by heading towards the right, avoiding any obstacle that you may find. When you come across a springboard, carry it with you. You may need it to go above a large floating platform if you're Super Mario, Fire Mario or Cape Mario. Otherwise, just ignore it and go underneath.
Either way, you can just wait for the tide to lower completely and just use the ice physics to help Big Mario slide under the platform while he's ducking. Get in the pipe in the other side.
In the second half wait for the tide to rise to get on top of the platform. Beneath that platform there is a small fork in the road. You can go above the next platform to carry on with the level, or you can slide through underneath to find a pipe leading to a Spade Game.
If you go above the platform, be careful for an incoming lightning bolt, with fire columns following shortly after it lands. You should come to a pipe after a while, which is where you'd come out of if you went in the Spade Game.
Proceed normally, avoiding further lightning bolts, and you'll reach the goal.
Dragon Coins[]
- Right after the start, very hard to miss.

- Under a large floating platform.

Graphics[]
Tide Cave uses graphics from Crystal Snail's stage in Mega Man X2 for the foreground and the ice background from Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest for the background.
The Spade Game uses its original graphics from the All-Stars version of Super Mario Bros. 3.
Music[]
The custom music used throughout the stage is Horrible Shadow from Romancing SaGa.
The Spade Game uses Go Red Team! Go White Team! Rah Rah Rah! from Treasure Hunter G.
