Ghost Forest is the sixth level of the Forest. The level has a Secret Exit, leading to Mario the Pyromaniac. Another level revolving around On-Off Switch, which this time, make the level alternate between a normal level and a ghost level.

Level overview[]

Proceed through the level normally, however, you'll soon come to a dead end. Hit the On-Off Switch to activate ghost mode, making a Ghost Rope spawn, which acts just like a vine.

While the switch is off, Spinies turn into Boos, Chargin' Chucks into Grinders, Hopping Flames into Thwimps and Cheep Cheeps into Boo Blocks. Ghost Ropes also spawn in certain parts of the level.

The remainder of the level is rather straight forward, simply hit On-Off Switches and proceed towards the right, you'll soon find the goal.

For the secret exit, instead of kicking the flopping Cheep Cheeps, use the nearby On-Off Switch to turn them into Boo Blocks. Then, use them as a stepping stool to enter the nearby green pipe. You'll find the key and keyhole within.

Dragon Coins[]

There are no Dragon Coins in this level.

This stage uses the forest background from Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and log graphics from the All-Stars version of Super Mario Bros. 2 and Super Mario World.

The Ghost Rope's graphics are from Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest.

Music[]

The custom music used when the switch is on for the first time is Forest and Nature Area from Kirby & the Amazing Mirror, before switching to Ghost House from Super Mario World, and once you hit the switch again, Forest & Nature Area turns into Piano from Super Mario World.
