Fishing Spree is the first stage of World 2. A sky stage, where Mario is chased by a hungry Boss Bass.

It has a secret exit, leading to Tide Cave.

Level overview[]

An average level. Due to it being set in high altitudes, it puts a bit more focus in platforming, than just going right. If you pressed the blue switch, the pits near the end are covered with blue ! blocks.

Midway through the level, a sign of a fish will indicate Boss Bass's arrival. He jumps from below, in attempt to attack Mario. Reaching the sign with the crossed-out fish will indicate his departure.

The key is found near the end, in the center of an odd block formation. To get to it, get under the block formation and use the Boss Bass as a stepping stool with a Spin Jump.

Dragon Coin Locations[]

  1. Under the first Volcano Lotus, on a cloud.
  2. Next to the Pokey.
  3. On top of the second Volcano Lotus.
  4. In a platforming section near the end.
  5. Right next to the goal.
