Ultima is a final boss in Final Fantasy Tactics.

Description

Ultima has two phases:

Phase I

Ultima can attack three different ways:

• A heart projectile that homes on to the player.
• An energy orb, fired in the direction of the player. They range in speed.
• She also swoops down to try to grab the player. If the player fails in evading it, they will be kissed by Ultima, taking damage.

Once the player defeats Ultima, she will then regenerate her health, and go into Trance.

Phase II

Ultima can perform three actions:

• A large laser beam, which is fired where the player is standing.
• A much larger energy orb, which is also faster.
• She can also regenerate her health.

Tactics

Only when she swoops or regenerates health can the player strike. Once you defeat her, she will turn to stone and you will win.

Trivia

• Ultima is one of the few bosses in the game that has a second form
