A Hint Block is a special block that resembles a speaker and gives Mario useful information. Not all Hint Blocks are helpful, though. Some merely exist to progress the storyline (Such as the one at Yoshi's House). Hint Blocks, whether helpful or not, are very common at first, but soon they start vanishing from later levels.
