Fear of Homing Bills is the first level of World 5. A grassland level, where Mario regains the ability to use the Leaf Shield to ward off Homing Bills.

Level overview[]

The stage begins with two Bullet Bill shooters, followed by a red glowing Homing Bill dashing towards Mario. Evade the Homing Bill, and proceed to the right, avoiding all Bills. You'll soon come to a donut block section, so be cautious while in it.

Later, the cannons will start firing Homing Bills as well, so hurry to the right. You'll soon find a message box containing a message from Dr. Light, warning you about the Leaf Shield.

Press R to equip it, and just proceed through the Donut Block segment to the right as Mario is basically invincible with it on. The goal is just a few screens away.

Dragon Coins[]

  1. Just before the first Donut Block segment.
  2. Below a pair of Donut Blocks, in the first Donut Block segment.
  3. Between two Homing Bill cannons.
  4. Below a trio of Donut Blocks, in the second Donut Block segment.
  5. Just before the goal.
